Ahoy! =D

First of all – here’s a fresh new WIP from my upcomimg short-movie-who-haven’t-no-name-yet! This ryu it’s fully rigged and ready for animation! I’ve spent a month and a half working on that fella and dedicating a lot of my spare time studing rig – and dude, I loved it! hahaha! Soon I’ll post some exciting updates! Stay tuned! =D

Oh, almost forget! I’ve created a fanpage on facebook – feel free to like it if you like it! (and I added an “like” button on my blog too! heh!) =D

So, I can’t believe that I’ve finished this one! hahaha! The original idea was to reproduce one of the “Armor Wars” cover, but it looks that I’ve changed a little my mind during the project. This one was a awesome challenge, because I’ve never modeled a car and neither an Iron Man armor (ok, I didn’t modeled exactly the movie armor, but something, ahn… “between”). Another good challenge was to give some tries on 3ds max Hair and Fur – and damn, it is quite impressive! =)

I would like to thanks to my friends at TechnoImage for the tips, and for my beloved wife for helping me with some tips too and of course, for her pacience! =D

Caraca, finalmente acabei! =D

Bom, a idéia dessa era fazer uma imagem baseada no arco “Armor  Wars”, mas no meio do caminho eu acabei tendo outras idéias e acabou saindo isso daí! haha! Foi um desafio legal, nunca tinha modelado um carro e muito menos um Iron Man (tá, eu não modelei uma armadura, modelei um WIP! hahaha!) – Outra coisa bacana foi poder estudar Hair and Fur do Max, que é uma ferramenta melhor do que eu esperava!

Brigadão ao pessoal aqui da TechnoImage pelos toques, e a minha amada esposa pelas coisas que eu não noto e é claro, pela paciência! haha! =D

Uma das experiências mais divertidas que eu já tive no ramo de CG, os amigos do NimboCG realizam quinzenalmente um podcast chamado Nimboteco – e bom, eu fui o convidado da vez! Hey there! I’m REALLY REALLY proud to finally present a new piece made by Royale (check it out their site – really worth the visit) with MTV – these guys are awesome! I’ve modeled some characters – including Mr Hollywood – the giant green dude! =) It was an awesome experience! Thank you Brien, Jayson and all Royale team for the opportunity! Yay!

This is an improved version of Ryu’s kimono. I wasn’t 100% satisfied on the first shot (ok, I was satisfied, but I’ve learned a lot of things since then!) so when I was remodeling his cloth, I decided to take another try! I’ve also made some improves on Ryu’s face, but I’ll keep for another post! hahaha!

Aê! Aproveitando cada segundo livre pra preparar os modelos para o curta! Eu não estava 100% satisfeito com o primeiro kimono (tá, eu tava… mas hoje eu vi que tinha bastante coisa pra melhorar) então como eu tinha que remodelar o kimono para que a simulação ficasse bacana, decidi dar uma repaginada(!?) nele! O Ryu também deu uma mudada, mas depois eu mostro isso.

This is an initial test for my upcoming Street Fighter short movie! Still pretty rought, but I’m really excited with the possibilities!

So, finally my last work is finished! This is another work inspired on Skottie Young’s awesome artwork! This one it’s my fav Skottie’s artwork and it was a lot of fun spending some time on it! =)
